PHOTOS - SONIC CIRCUITS FESTIVAL AUGUST 2002UPDATED 8/06/2002
Erin Flannery
The DC Chapter of the American Composers Forum sponsored the Sonic Circuits Festival of Electronic Music this year. These photos were shot in the new Decatur Blue space August 1st 2002. You will note that performers and audience endured what must have been 100 plus degree heat in the space because the lack of working AC. Lots of sweat! Still it was a great event for brave experimental-improv-electronics.

Erin Flannery is pictured singing with a trio composed of Roddy Schrock and Chris Nappi.

Mikroknytes

Arty reflections symbolizing the surreal nature of a mikroknytes performance ... or are they hallucinations caused by heat stroke?

More Knytes. John Coursey on violin and me (Derek Morton) on sampler and f/x. Wow, we really scaled back equipment for this show! Note to the gear geeks... the Sherman Filterbank v.2 sounds great processing violin!
